Annual Campaign - We need your help!
With just 25% of our families having donated so far, the PTC needs your help! The PTC is an entirely self-funded organization. Your donations go directly to the programs and events organized and sponsored by the PTC that enrich your children and the entire school community and the continued success relies on your participation.
Our goal is to raise $15,000!!!
Suggested donation is $50 per student *but anything is appreciated
Checks can be made payable to John Eliot School PTC and returned to school in the Yellow Envelope you received via backpack mail. To donate online, click to our Annual Campaign Paypal Account.
Your Money at Work
The Eliot PTC is proud to have funded 12 teacher grants for flexible seating this month! Flexible seating allows students to choose what type of seating works best for them. Just as adults don't do their best work sitting in one position all day, students do best when given a variety of seating options. Many studies have shown increased productivity and happiness in students when given choice about how and where they sit. Wobble stools, floor rockers and a standing desk are just a few of the options that will be available to our children.
Needham Education Foundation Grant
Bring Your ideas! NEF Accepting Fall ’18 Grant Applications
The Needham Education Foundation is now accepting applications for small, large, and multi-school grants. All applications are due by Tuesday, October 23, 2018. Small grants fund projects up to $5,000 (or $3,000 per school for multi-school grants) and large grants fund projects up to $15,000. This is the first year the NEF is accepting all types of grant applications throughout the year. The next deadlines will be January 22, 2019 and March 19, 2019.
The NEF continues to offer two additional options to ease the small grant application process: Express Grants allow applicants to apply for a program already funded by the NEF at another school; Multi-School Grants allow schools to apply together without the constraints of the small grant funding limit.
Any Needham Public School educator, administrator or community member — including students and parents — is eligible to apply. Contact your NEF school rep (found on our website) if you have any questions or would like guidance.
